The Islamic Society of Bradford Presents our Final Event of the Year.

Talk 1: Who Is Muhammad? Peace and blessings be upon him. By Alyas Karmani

Who was the person that was sent as a mercy to mankind? Who was called the most trustworthy and the most truthful by his people?

Talk 2: “With great power, comes great responsibility.” By Abdel Rahman Mussa
What is our role as Muslim students in society? How do we take the Prophet (pbuh) and Islam as a guide?

Followed by the ISoc Annual General Meeting.
A review of what we have done the past year. Your chance to hold the ISoc to account for what we have or have not done. Also, meet the new executive committee of the ISoc.

Free Food After!

Tuesday 9th April

5pm in Horton Barn Lecture Theatre. Free entry, no reservation.

We testify that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah Almighty, the Creator, Owner and Sustainer of the Universe, and that Muhammad ibn Abdullah (peace and blessings be upon him), is His last and final messenger. And it is his message, the same message that Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him), Musa (Moses, peace be upon him), Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him), and all the other prophets of Allah, that we continue to spread, to live by, and aim to die by, for we are commanded:

‎”Say: Allah is my all. In Him do (all) the trusting put their trust.” (Qur’an, 39:38)

So, what is the Islamic Society?

We’re a bunch of students who aim to provide for Muslims and non-Muslims. We create a platform for knowledge, action, debate, realism, brother/sisterhood and most importantly, the worship of One God alone. We believe that by submitting to One God and aligning our desires with His Will, we can liberate ourselves from the imperfect, limited and dependant desires of man.

University is a time of independence, change, challenge and many many questions. Our aim is to provide a moral and safe environment which encourages intellectual development, personal realisation and a deep sense of mercy, justice and peace. These few years at University will go by so fast, don’t waste a minute; steadily you will find your hours, your days, slipping away. Time cannot be replaced, and no matter how many deadlines your University tutors set you, Allah has already set your heartbeat a deadline, and only He knows when it is.

‎”Everyone who is taken by death asks for more time, while everyone who still has time makes excuses for procrastination.” (Ali Ibn Abi Talib RA)

This website will tell you more about what we do, why we do it, what Islam is and how to make the most out of your time at University. We provide weekly classes, regular events, social activities and ongoing support, mentoring and an open door to anyone who wants to approach us for any positive reason. The door to Allah, the Just, the Most Patient, is open 24/7. So please don’t hold back… make use of this website, contact us via email, phone or facebook, and we hope to see you at Freshers Fair and our many activities and events throughout the year!

All praise and thanks are due to Allah first and foremost. Whomsoever Allah guides none can misguide. And whomever Allah does not guide, none can guide.
